1st Prototype - Tyφ-one (2014-2016)
The TYF-ONE was the first model that our team presented in Motostudent, as well as the first and only Greek participation until then. The model’s fairing is made of carbon fiber and the chassis is aluminium premeter. The engine of the motorcycle is a Honda CBR 250 cc. The front suspensions that are being used were Ohlins while the back were Wilbers and thus, the final weight of the model is approximately 130 kg. The innovation of the motorcycle, which is also the seperate evaluation in the competition, was to build parts of it using 3D printing technology.
2nd Prototype - Chimera (2016-2018)
The second protoype, Chimera, also had aerodynamic fairng from carbon fiber. The motorcycle’s hybrid chassis is a space frame structure with chromomolybdenum tubes and the subframe is aluminium and also consists of carbon tubes, while the exhaust is titanium. The engine of the prototype was a KTMRC 250 cc. The front suspensions are WP reeds combined with Andreani Kit, while the rear suspension uses Wilbers suspensions and the swingarms are made of aluminium. The final weight of the motorcycle is about 110 kg. The innovation of this model is the development of an application that takes the driver’s data and then proposes the appropriate adjustments to make the driving experience unique for every rider. It is remarkable that this application is capable of calling an emergency contact in the case of an accident.
3rd Protoype - Cerberus (2018-2021)
The third model with which our team participated in 2020 is called Cerberus. Because of all the strong elements of the previous ones with which we took the first place in the individual events, our goal is to improve on the weakest parts of our entries so far by making our appearance in the competition a proccess of progress, being the new generation of engineers.
